It has been close to 2 years since I started composting kitchen & pooja waste at home. Am getting better at it, finding efficient & effective ways to compost. I started with 1 bucket from Trust Basket and use 4 now, which helps me rotate the waste to compost over a period of 20-25 days. I have tried other "compost makers" like paper or saw dust, but they are not as effective as Bokashi ; they leave a foul smell.
I use the liquid extract that gets collected at the bottom of the bucket as manure. Having said that, it is not easy to collect the liquid via the tap - it does not flow easily and I have to tilt and move the bucket around to get the liquid flowing out. You may want to look at the design again.

Excellent I have started collecting liquid fertiliser on 5 th day when the drum was full .
